B&C's FHE at the MOA at BYU on Mon.

So Ben usually works on Monday nights so we don't always get to do a real Family Home Evening Night but this week he was off so we decided to have FHE and it was so great.
BYU's Museum of Art currently has a Carl Bloch exhibit and it was pretty incredible.
I recognized some of the paintings but not the name, he built 8 alter pieces and BYU has 5 of them.
I did not know how huge of a deal this was but the place was packed and I learned that the paintings are from Denmark and Sweden and they have not been moved since 1800!!!

The paintings and alters were amazing!  They were HUGE and there was so much detail, it just amazed me that they were really that old and still in such good condition.  Although I admit I am not an art lover or anything but the pictures of Christ's life really touched me and the story to each one was good to be reminded of.
These are some of my favorites...

I love this one because it shows when the Angel came down to comfort Christ, not him in agony.

This little boy is so tender.

This one might be my favorite.  I think it is really unique, the mother looking down at her daughter and Christ in the doorway.  He is just a few steps away.

After we came back home and made our planning calendar for April and Ben's favorite Pastaroni for our treat.

It was a wonderful night together!

If anyone has not seen this and lives in Provo-GO, it's a crazy opportunity!

I would like to thank the Academy...

So for as long as I can remember I have loved to watch award shows-The Emmy's The Grammy's, The Oscar's, The Golden Globes, The Sag's....I just eat up all the celebrity glamor and the red carpet, the 2 million dollars worth of diamonds hanging off the gorgeous people, the shoes and even the actual awards....I just can't get enough of it!  Plus Ben and I watch just about every movie that hits the box office, and I watch a bajillion TV shows so I can be a real judge!

Well February is like the monster month of award shows and so I spent many Sunday nights this past month, on my couch, indulging in the glitz and glam of the red carpet. These are my expert thoughts over the last few shows:

~Justin Bieber did not win a Grammy-this is truly an outrage, he looked so cute in his white tailored suit just so hopeful...instead a nobody whose name is close to a basketball stole his thunder.  The Beliebers attacked her viciously via twitter, no I was not one of them but I really wanted him to win...#ProudofJustin <3 Next year!

~Everyone was giving James Franco and Anne Hathaway a really hard time about their hosting job of the Oscars, but I adored them as hosts, maybe some awkward moments but they are both very very easy to look at, they were cute and I loved almost every one of Anne's dresses.

~The King's Speech really did clean up, I did really enjoy this movie, and Collin Firth was really good in it, but I think they could have given more credit to other great movies this year-Inception? Toy Story 3? Never Say Never?

~Although i appreciate that Glee and Modern family got some love at the Golden Globe's and Screen Actor Guild Awards, but what about the other amazing shows I love-Grey's Anatomy? Gossip Girl? Community?  Where are those nominations? Some show called Boardwalk Empire won a ton of awards-hmmm I don't think so-who votes for this stuff

~Is Jude Law balding? And Christian Bale: PLEASE SHAVE!

~Natalie Portman is amazing and so cute pregnant, but I admit I have been to scared to see Black Swan and Hailey Something from True Grit is actually super cute, even if she did annoy me so much in that movie.

~Lady Gaga would show up in an egg

And my Fav Dresses!

Natalie Portman-Love the Dress and the Shoes at The Spirit Awards

Leighton Meester-Vintage and so classy

Brittany from Glee
AHHHHHHH
Mila Kunis-Love the color, super feminine and romantic
She is one hot mama
HELLO Jennifer Hudson-not a huge fan of the color in Feb.-but she looks sooo good!
Natalie Portman again, looking pregnant and fabulous
GOOO-see what i mean?
Anne Hathaway's red carpet dress was my fav of the night

I LOVE sparkles right now
I  love Canadians
Lea Michele  looks so cute in this color
Eva Longoria Sans her cheating husband looking hot!

I am really liking these light colors...and sparkles!
HOMEWRECKER-still Team Aniston-but i do like her dress

Anyone else watch the award shows? best dressed? worst dressed nominees?
