Meet me in St. Louis...

Ben and I had a perfect day in St. Louis!
He had the day off so we drove to St. Louis which is about 2 hours away.
Ususally I hate driving, but I don't mind when it's Ben and I, I love just having the time to talk, relax
and we play car games, plus the drive is really beautiful and green.

So we got into St. Louis, put on Nelly's "Welcome to St. Louis" (you have to right?) and made our way to the famous
St. Louis Arch.  If you don't know about the St. Louis Arch--

The Gateway Arch, or Gateway to the West,[5] is an arch that is the centerpiece of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis, Missouri. It was built as a monument to the westward expansion of the United States. At 630 feet (192 m), it is the tallest man-made monument in the United States,[4] Missouri's tallest accessible building, and the largest architectural structure designed as a weighted or flattened catenary arch.

The arch is way bigger than I thought it was going to be!  It was memorial day weekend so there were thousands of people there, but it is cool because it is downtown right along the Mississippi River and is surrounded by a really pretty park!

We took lots of pictures, Ben humored me and bought tourist t-shirts for us and we looked around the museum underground beneath the arch.

Sometimes I really don't like this job we are doing here, but I probably never would have seen this cool city and monument without it!

After the arch, we went to a huge, great mall and walked and shopped.
We had a delicious dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then headed home.

I loved seeing St. Louis and I loved spending the day with Ben.

Yes we are tourists and yes we have matching shirts!
That is the one side of the base behind us, It is so big!

Cassie,
I loved the pictures. Where did the thousands of people go?
