I want to remember...

Some things I don't want to forget from this week.
Because that's what blogs are for right?
I don't write in a journal, so I want to put these little things in this "space"
that I want to look back on and remember.

  • I want to remember when Ben said "Those Tums you bought are delicious by the way"
  • I want to remember how Ben blow-dried my feet for me before we went to bed
  • I want to remember how amazing the tulip festival was and how I felt the spirit just walking on the temple grounds last weekend.
  • I want to remember the victory dance Ben did when his team scored in hockey (involved bending forward and pumping arms at 90 degree angles back and forth while saying "YES YES YES YES")
  • I want to remember how during movie previews, after each one we look at each other and each do either a thumbs up for "yes, want to see it" thumbs down for "no way that looks stupid" or flat line thumb for "maybe".  Our thumbs never match.
  • I want to remember how I love seeing my grandma when she comes to visit.  She is SO funny, I love the way she tried to order at Cafe Rio, how she was laughing so hard she could barley tell the story about her crazy friend, and how she gives the best hugs.

What are the little things you don't want to forget about from this last week?

a list of ten: mother's day gifts

What is better than recieving the best gift?
Giving the best gift!
 (Ok they're tied)
With Mother's Day coming up (May 13)
I decided to compile a list of
pretty gift ideas for our mom's.

These also happen to be things I want horribly.

1. Personalized Notepads from Paper Source.  Anything personalized is so personal and moms love lists.
2. A DIY cookbook with all your favorite family recipes.  The one pictured is what I did last year for Mother's Day.  It was quite the undertaking since I made all the recipes to photograph but I loved giving it to my mom, and having my own copy. I made it on, here is a link to mine if you want an example.
3. Williams-Sonoma cupcake mixes+gingham cupcake liners. These are for the baker mom who will make stuff from a box, and from WS box how bad can it be?  Cupcake mixes here and liners here on etsy.
4. Chalkboard Herb Potters and herbs.  Mom's tend to have green thumbs.
Found these both on Crate and Barrel
5. A Pedicure. Can you ever go wrong with a pedicure?
6. New Purse/Beach Bag/Book Bag.  This pastel bag would be perfect for the beach, throw in a book she has been wanting to read inside.
7. Chenille Throw. My mom has a thing for blankets and she is always cold.  This one is from Pottery Barn and looks so cozy and scrumptious!
8. Owl Measuring Cups.  Found these at West Elm, they would be so fun for mom's with little one's or just for mom's who love to bake.
9. Polka-dot Pillowcases. These soft and oh-so-cute pillowcases would make a great spring mother's day gift.  They come in lots of colors here
10. DIY Picture and Quote Coasters. For a more affordable option, these are SO cute and you can put anything you want on them.  Pair them with a cute mug and a box of her favorite tea or hot chocolate!  Great Tutorial for coasters found here.

Ps. I couldn't showcase on this list what I actually got the mother's in my life, didn't want to ruin the surprise, so sorry mom, don't get your hopes up!

Hope this list gives you some inspiration on what to get the amazing women in your life.

Turtles Cheesecake

I post very few recipe's on here,
I have to love them and they usually tend to be about 1400 calories a serving.
Well with Mother's Day approaching, I thought I would share one of my favorite recipe's my mom makes.
Let me tell you people, this is a fan favorite.
When she makes it, our family tends to eat it for every meal, including breakfast,
it usually doesn't last that long though.

Also I have been on a diet for the past two months,
no carbs, no sugar (not even sugar in ketchup or bbq or things like that)
This is coming from a girl who HAD TO/ MUST have dessert after every meal.
(That is for another post though)
Well my diet officially ends on Thursday, and although I want to keep my healthy habits up,
I am rewarding myself with one treat, I have been thinking all week about what I want my
first treat in two months to be and I think this will be the winner.

So for a delicious, amazing, rich dessert that is a sure crowd pleaser, refer to this recipe:

(Use a Springform tin for best results)

1ST LAYER-Oreo Crust
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup oreo baking crumbs
1/4 cup sugar

Mix oreo crubs and sugar together
Melt butter, pour into crumbs and mix
Spread mixture into bottom of pan and pack down
Bake at 375 degrees for 4 minutes

2ND LAYER-Caramel

1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 Cup Butter
4 TBSP. Corn Syrup
1 Cup Brown Sugar

Put all ingredients in sauce pan over medium-high heat
Stir constantly. Boil to soft-ball stage (usually anywhere from 6-8 minutes)
Take it off heat, cool it and the pour over oreo crust.

3RD LAYER-Crushed Pecans

Place crushed Pecans over caramel layer
Use as many or as little as you want
(I usually do half a bag)

4TH LAYER-Chocolate Cheesecake

6 Squares of semi-sweet chocolate or about 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
2 TBSP. Milk
4 TBSP. sugar
1 8 OZ. PKG Cream Cheese (room temp.)
1 Tub of Cool Whip (Sometimes I only use 1/2 tub, depending on how stiff you want it)

Melt chocolate and milk together and let cool.
Beat cream cheese by itself until smooth then add sugar and beat that in
Add cooled chocolateFold in whipping cream
I like to refrigerate it for 1/2 hour after this, so it is quite stiff. Pour it over pecan layer

Do not put on this layer until right before you serve it!

1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
3 TBSP. sugar
1/2 TBSP. Vanilla Extract

Whip together till it forms soft peaks and spread over cheesecake layer
Refrigerate until you serve it.
Garnish with chocolate curls!

Earth Day

So despite what I have told past boyfriends for
the "outdoorsy factor" I kind of hate hiking. (gasp!? I know)
Since I am so afraid of heights, I never usually enjoy the view from the top,
I hate bugs, and since my extended family is so competitive,
I have a hard time keeping up and asking for breaks haha.

So yesterday was Earth Day, I felt like going on a run but actually not at all.
So after getting on Pinterest under the "Fitness" category
(This is how I get myself motivated, I go look at all those hard core ripped girls with sayings like "EXCUSES ARE USELESS" and "SWEAT IS FAT CRYING" until I feel so guilty I get up and do something..longest parentheses sentence ever)

ANYWAYS...I decided I was going to hike the "Y" instead of a run,
sounded easier than a run (ya right).
Ben was at work so I had nothing else to do
and the earth day part was a bonus!

So I hiked the "Y' by myself and for the first time I kind of got it, why people like hiking!
Mind you this is like a 30 minute hike,
let's not get ahead of ourselves,
I am most likley still not a fan of the 8 hour excursions
eating only trail mix and scaling cliffs kind of hiking.

My playlist was truly inspired, I put my ipod on "shuffle all' and it was pumping out my jams!
1st song-Never Say Never by the BIEBS
2nd-One Step at a Time-Jordin Sparks (lyrics were very literal to me)
3rd-Stronger by Brit Spears

See? And it only got better!
I didn't plan it but I went at the perfect time and the sun was setting
and Provo has never looked so good.
It's weird how a city can look beautiful but it did!

I am not one to "enjoy" nature like I should
but yesterday was a good one.
So Happy Earth Day people!

Some advice...

Hello All,
Today I will share with you the four keys
to a good week.

#1: Food, obvi a given! Good food is a must to any weekend.
Try new places or just stick to your favorites.
The key is to just eat A LOT and you are bound to be happy...right?

#2: Dress the part!
It is fun to get fancy on the weekend,
or to just wear your pajama's all day.
The choice is yours.
Whatever you wear, make sure you take lots of awkward pics like me!

A weekend is OK if you get no mail....but a weekend is great if you get lots! I kid, I kid,
but this weekend I got presents/orders in the mail
and my blog hit 100 followers!
So I owe huge thank you's to:

#4: Friends and Ducks
Try to spend as much time as you can with friends,
your significant other and ducks!
And remember if you find yourself with no friends on a Friday,
there is always the library! Party on!

So there you have it.
The keys to a good week
from the mind of Cassie.

letter love!

I am SO glad it is the weekend, finals are over and they are giving us a whole 2 days off  before spring semester, so good of you BYU! At the moment I have about 80 tabs open of blogs to read, for just one day! I am not even mad and can't wait to read all of your posts!
Now here are some little letters...

Dear Husband, holy crap we needed a date last night, and it was so fun!
Thanks for being one of five guys in a theater FULL of girls last night.
That means you are a sucker! JOKES, it means you are the sweetest!

Dear "The Lucky One", although you made me uncomfortable at times
and every time Zac Efton  swayed or made any sudden movements
I had High School Musical golf course scene flashbacks,
you were everything a chick flick should be and I left the theater happy and in love!

Dear graduates, LUCKY and congrats!
You all look so happy walking all over campus in your caps and gowns,
but really miss, you couldn't take it off to go to a restaurant at like 8 at night?
and Mr. are you just showing off by wearing it  to go get fro-yo!?
I swear I saw a girl on a run in hers.

Dear blog friends? How do you deal with negative comments, it feels so sad!
It's weird because all of a sudden it feels like such an invasion of privacy
for someone to tell you how horrible you are.

Dear running playlist (yes, I am bragging that I run), you need a serious update,
Linkin Park and Black Eyed Peas are just not getting me pumped anymore.
Ps-I have ran like 3 times in 6 months (humbled)

Dear Husband, you know me way too good,
when I am acting like Satan's spawn and I swear it is not because I am tired and grumpy,
you just pick me up, carry me to the bed, tuck me in (against my will) and tell me to have a nap.
Then I sleep for like 2.5 hours and wake up feeling good....and nice again.

We Likey Wednesday

Have you guys seen the awesome blog Awkward Girls?
Just found it. Love it.
They are two best friends, they live in the same city as me,
go to the same university as me, and one of their sister's is a friend of mine.
So basically I am famous too!

Anyways they do the fun "We Likey Wednesdays" where they tell you their flavors of the week!
I decided to join...

Girl Crush of the Week: Emily Blunt

Saw her on Ellen yesterday and love her, gorgeous, british accent, dorky laugh-what is not to love.
Plus she is married to John Kralsh^&niski (whatevs his last name is) so there's that!

Guy Crush of the Week: Mark Ruffalo

Mark had me as (literally) the boy next door in 13 going on 30.
He is replacing Edward Norton as the Hulk in The Avengers-I'M NOT EVEN MAD!
He has that smooth yet gravelly voice and is a family man. (cue awwwww's)

Flavor of the week: Kodiak Cakes Cookies

Hands down, no exxageration, best cookies I have ever had in my entire life.
Their pancake and waffle mix is sold all over but these cookies lie in Gateway Mall in SLC.
They are huge and gooey and crispy and I love them.

I want: Sidewalk Skimmers

MMM these shoes, I am so smitten with these little flats that are so perfect
for spring and summer!  Madewell will be the death of me.

Song of the Week: Jason Mraz's new album

I love his new CD "Love is a four letter" word.  If I lived even remotley close to a beach I would listen to this CD there.
This one  is called 93 million miles, I also love The Freedom Song!

Funnies of the Week: Condescending Wonka

haha I don't know why, but these are so hilarious to me!

Well there it is! That is what I like this week, who's with me!

100 and Come RUN!

Today is my 100th post! Can you believe it? I have had this blog for almost two years but have just recently started to try and "grow" it. Therefore I think I have blogged more in the last month and a half than I have the whole time before that.  I hope that is a good thing! I am really loving the blogging world and getting more into it and meeting new people!

Now what do you say to celebrate we get me 100 followers for my 100th post? Would be kinda cute? Just four more people click on "join this site" and we'll have a party!

So nothing to blow your mind for my 100th post, just wanted to share something quick with you guys.

One of my best friends cousin, Kirsten King was involved in a really serious car accident on March 3rd, and is still in the hospital.  Here is what it says on her Facebook page:

Kirsten was in a serious accident on the morning of Saturday, March 3, just a mile away from home. While the details remain unclear at this point, life changed in an instant for that sweet, vibrant, sassy, 16 year old girl.

Here is what is known: The full force of the impact hit the driver's side, leaving her with several injuries, some of which are life-threatening still. Both bones were broken in her lower left leg, the left side of her pelvis is shattered, her right lung collapsed, and she sustained a major brain injury.

Her friends and family have organized a 5K run for support for her! (There is also a kids 1K run).  The run is free, but donations are encouraged.  It is going to be on May 19th in Highland UT at 8am, we will run right by her house!  The first 200 people to sign up will get a awesome t-shirt as well.  So help support this awesome, strong girl and her family.

If you are going to be in the Utah area in May, then this will be not only be really fun, and great excersise, but an awesome way to show support for this family!

All the info and sign-up can be found here

This week was a pretty laid back one for us.
We had our last day of classes and a few reading days (ie-do no reading of any sorts days)
and it was rainy and overcast for most of it.
It was kind of nice though, although Ben had to work most of the weekend,
I did minimal studying, curled up with a book, helped some friends move
and watched two movies from like 10 years ago.

If you follow me on Instagram you have already
seen most of these, I try to save a few for the blog throughout the week though.

Some outfits this week...I wore a sweater vest. period.
The skirt here was my first thrifted purchase ever from a few weeks ago, under five dollar love.
I also got my hair done (top right) and love it!

1::This was my view when I woke up one morning, I didn't want to get out of bed so bad!
2:: Textbook sell back at 8 am, was a pretty happy crowd, oh ya and my 100 dollar cooking book "sorry new edition next semester" -"Oh wow edition number 10, I wasn't aware the art of cooking could undergo so many freaking changes over the years?!"
3:: My favorite new snack, almonds and you see what I see? That would be biotin and a huge A fish oil pill, get shiny and long hair!
4:: Ben and I couldn't agree on a place to eat on Friday night.  Luckily Rumbi's and J Dawgs are right across the street from one another? Guess who got what?

On Friday, a package came with my name on it (I was actually clothed when the mailman came).
It was Nie Nie's book, Heaven is Here.
I curled up and read it all night and was done by midnight.  I cried the whole way though
as she said the most honest, touching and inspiring words.
It was not just her amazing story of overcoming her crash and all her burns
that made me love the book though.
It was how she loved her children and her husband, it was their family traditions
and the cute special moments she shared with her husband.
It was her faith and testimony of the church, accident aside, and how she told of just a
simple, beautiful, every day family life.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

It is now finals week, I am surprisingly not too worried about it....we'll see how long that lasts.
Have a great week friends!

lovley letters

Dear Ben, you are next to me in bed right now watching survivor on your phone.  I can't believe you still like that show, I think this is like season 44 or something but for some reason you like it, and you refuse to watch Grey's or Vampire Diaries with me? Did I just hear the name "Troy-zan"? need headphones.

Dear Bookstore, if you reject any of my books tomorrow for "text-book sell back" I will K@!*%*!....probably do what I do every time you do this and walk out sighing, defeated.

Dear Mailman, you have got some good stuff coming for me this week, I'm excited for our rendezvous.  Usually when you knock on my door, it is when I am in my robe or in the bathroom or something else really inconvenient and it is super awk, so let's try and work on our timing shall we?

Dear Cassie (ME)-you,at the gym? At midnight? Who ARE you?!

Dear Stripes, I am so attracted to you.

Dear Cooking, I feel like it has been a while, I haven't even missed you that much but Ben suggested we get together soon, let me know!

Dear Ben, (because husbands get two letters) how come we suck so much at The Newlywed Game? I swear we know each other, but really? I swear you like thick crust better than thin crust pizza!

See what I mean?

Well hope you all have a great weekend, TGIF!

a list of ten or une liste de dix

Remember my first list of ten here, and then again here, and remember how I said this was going to be a thing? Well here is the third installment of "A list of Ten"

Many of you may know I hail from the Frozen Tundra of Canada, it is actually not a frozen tundra although that is a common misconception.  With my parents having just been here and sad that we are not going home to Canada like we usually do this summer, today's list of Ten is to educate and inspire:

10 Things I LOVE about Canada!

1:: Canadian chocolate and candy, there is not much that compares.  You will have to taste to believe, but somehow we are way ahead in the chocolate bar and candy department.  Yes, those are KETCHUP chips and they are delicious! Oh ya and Alberta Beef-it is a cut above the rest (pun intended)

2::The beautiful landscapes, my favorite is the rocky mountains that border Alberta and British Columbia.  I never appreciated the country's beauty before but it is breathtaking!

3::I love the weird stuff we say. When my parents were down I realized I hardly say "eh" at all anymore, I don't want to lose my Canadian words.  "That was good pasta (paaasss-ta) and pop eh! Now where is the washroom, you bring my beg (bag) and I'll meet you at the Mazda (Mazz-da)!"

4:: Free Health Care.  No I am not a communist, but where I am from it works, yes there are minor cons but I love that everyone is covered, I can go to the doctor for free if something is wrong and we practice more preventative healthcare.

5:: Seasons.  Canada has very distinct and very different seasons.  I love that the weather and landscape changes four times a year.

6:: We are bilingual! Yes, we speak English and French, well most of us don't but my husband is from Quebec, the french province, and they are almost pure french.  The law requires that both English and French are on products, most of the french I know I learned from cereal boxes!

7:: Our Pretty Money.  We have very colorful pretty money, so you never mix up the bills.  It really is cute money and I love our Loonies (1 dollar coin) and Toonies (2 dollar coin).  When I first came here I accidentally gave a homeless man a 20 instead of a 1, it all looks the same!

8:: Peacekeepers.  We believe in peacekeeping not policing.  Some of you may not agree, but I like that Canada is a peacekeeping country.  We have a small Army because you US guys got our back right? It is a more laid-back kind of feel up there too.

9:: Our national animal is a Beaver-That is just funny!  Beaver vs. Bald Eagle, who wins?

10:: Justin Bieber! Dear World: You're Welcome!

Those are just a few of the things I love about my home. Sorry if you don't care about Canada at all and just had to read that, but who hates Canada right? A lot of people here don't know much about Canada, I was once asked "If I spoke Canadian" and "If we had electricity yet?"  Anyways we don't always dress like lumberjacks and ride dog-sleds to school!  Come visit if you ever have the chance!

And if you are feeling really inspired watch these amazing commercials:

Au revoir!

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

I'm going to get just a little deep on here today...below shallow end, above your ears hurting deep.

Yesterday I was studying for my psychology final (yuck) and I was reading about people's fears and phobias.
There are five categories of fear
                                                 1) Animals (dogs, snakes, spiders etc.)
                                                 2) Natural Environments (heights, storms, darkness etc.)
                                                 3) Situations (bridges, flying, elevators, small spaces)
                                                 4) Injury (needles, falling, car accidents etc.)
                                                 5) Other including illness, failure and death.

As I was reading that I realized I have at least one of those fears in every category, pretty much everything that people could be afraid of, I am, excluding the super weird ones like fear of Q-tips and fear of relatives (actual thing, Syngenesophobia, look it up).

Seriously though, I am afraid of everything-spiders, heights, small spaces, flying, driving, elevators, tornadoes and all natural disasters, getting needles, me or loved ones dying, failure, rejection, snakes, blood,  kidnappers, robbers, not being able to have kids, the ocean, fish touching me under water etc.

As you can see I am a huge scaredy cat! I realize this is holding me back, when we hike, I don't go to the edge because I am too scared and miss the beautiful view, I never look out the windows on planes, I will never skydive or bungee jump or ride in a hot air balloon, I cried more than my 8 year old sister when we went to go get flu shots,  because I am too scared.  I don't venture into the ocean more than up to my knees, I never want to drive anymore.  So many times I have anxiety or fear run through my body, not a great feeling.

As I was thinking about this, a scripture came to mind, my cousin/bestie Kylie showed me my freshman year when I was probably freaking out about something I was scared of,

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7)

We are not supposed to be afraid of everything, constantly worried, we should be filled with power and love!   Those are good things.  I realize I can't automatically just not be scared of flying or snakes anymore, but I am going to try and feel less fear and have more faith that everything will be ok and be filled with more peace.

I don't know where I am really going with this post, I guess I was just musing yesterday that I need to have a sounder mind, more peace!

And after much patience, Instagram came to the people of Android.
And the people were filled with joy and rejoiced!

You heard it, this week will be from the true Instagram and I am finally a part of this
lovley "filtered filled" world!

This week was a really great one!
My family was here and I am obsessed with them, playing with cousins, perfect Easter and...
Donny Osmond was in my church ward yesterday! Whaaattt??
I really wanted to snap a pic or ask for the autograph
but I thought that might be inappropriate in church, so you will just have to believe me.
The hymns were sounding a little bit better with
Mr. Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat man
in our congregation though.

Now onto the good stuff!

1::One of my favorite little things, my bunny ring holder, festive right?
2::The one thing I like about BYU campus right not, the spring flowers (please note-this pic was taken on Friday)
3::This is me when Instagram came to Android
4::Please refer to previous note.  This picture was taken on Saturday where it snowed all day
and I busted out the winter plaid.

1::My Easter Mantle
2::The whole fam out for dinner at PF Changs, you betcha we got the lettuce wraps
3::Got my eyebrows did! Have you heard of the Anastasia Method for eyebrow waxes? Well let me tell you it is all the rage in Hollywood! Mine are light but if you look closely you will notice (and I was told by the lady) that I use the same stencil and shape now as Jen Aniston and J-Lo, my girls! haha

1:: Easter Sunday Polka-dots!
2:: Meet my baby sister Hailey, she likes Sharpies and long phone calls, she hates getting her face washed.
3::May have made another batch of these delicious chocolate nuggets!

1:: We didn't paint Easter eggs this year, but we sure did paint some serious  nails,
on the porch no less, life is good!
2:: We went on a midnignt hike up the "Y", to those of you who don't know what that it, you hike up this giant horribly steep mountain to see this giant letter "Y" that is up there, people think it is fun.  It was my first time doing it, even though I have lived here for 5 years.
Ask me my thoughts on this adventure when I can feel my legs again.
3::Ben and I at the top
4::My new nail color, this color says:
"This is a grandma color but this grandma can get down and flirty!"
5::My little sister Carly and I at the top! So happy she is going to be here in the Fall, but No I will not be joining you on this hike  upward crawl ever again.

See? A great week!  One more to go until FREEDOM!!!
...and then spring semester starts a week later...
womp womp...

Liebster, not to be confused with Lobster.

It is 7:57 am on a Saturday.
I woke up all on my own, before my alarm.
This is both awesome and a travesty.

Anyways I thought I would take this new found
time to say thank you and graciously accept this award.
Autumn @ Mrs. in the Making gave me the Liebster blog award,
which is an award for cool blogs that have less than 200 followers.
So thank you! I super appreciate it!
So the rules are...
1. Choose five up and coming blogs to give the Liebster award to. Blogs must have less than 200 followers.
2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
3. Post the award on your blog.

4. List the bloggers you gave the award to with links to their sites. Leave a comment on their blogs to let them know they've recevied the award.
5. Share five random facts about yourself!

So thank you again and here are who I nominate for this award:

I love all my blogger friends, it was hard to choose.

Oh man now for the random facts, I am sorry I have been doing this so much lately.
Or not if you LOVE hearing weird things all about me. I kid, I kid.

1. I have bad blood. Literally I NEVER get mosquito bites,
I don't even wear the repellent.  I can be in a mosquito infested environment
and all my friends will be covered.  For some reason, they are not attracted to me.
I'm not even mad.
2. I physically cannot drink Orange Juice after breakfast time.
Before 11 am? Delicious beverage, after 11 am-PUTRID!
3. My number one worst sound, like nails on a chalkboard to me?
Cotton balls ripping....goosebumps as I type that..WOOF!
4. I used to clog, yap, you know like fake tapping?
I was full on Rocky Mountain Canadian Cloggers team.
5.  I litter. I am sorry. that is all.

letter love

Mr. Twain

Do you ever feel like you have so much to do so instead of doing any of it you go take a nap?
I feel like it is happening.
Every year at about this time I start feeling overwhelmed.
The semester is coming to a close, I am burnt out, all final projects are due,
and final tests are looming.
The weather is nice and begging you to skip class and play outside.
Right now I am trying to find an internship and have spent hours
crafting and re-crafting resumes and cover letters and applications.
I have been stressed about interviews and our summer plans.
There is just so much to do and I am feeling overwhelmed.

Then I found this quote on a friend's blog.  It is by Mark Twain.
"The secret to getting ahead is getting started. The secret to getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small managable tasks, and then starting on the first one"
For some reason, this just clicked.

One task, just do one small task, check it off your list and then move on to the next.
So that is the plan.
Instead of letting myself get overwhelmed,
I am just going to do a little at a time until everything is done.

Thanks Mr. Twain, you are so wise.

eleven eleven

Hey yooouuuu gggguuuyyyssss (name that movie)
So I have been tagged a couple times for the eleven questions thingy
and think that Tuesday is the day where I am going to do it
and talk all about myself haha
JK. But seriously...

Post these rules
Answer the 11 questions that the tagger posted for you
Create 11 questions of your own to ask the people that you're about to tag
Tag 11 people and link them with your post (and let them know they've been tagged!)

Since I don't think you guys want to see me answer 33 questions about myself, I am just going to pick and choose from all the questions!  Ps thanks to Autumn, Lauren and Diana for tagging me.

Why did you start blogging?
All the cool married kids were doing it so I was super pumped when I got engaged so I could start blogging.  I now realize you do not need to be married/involved to have a blog, some of my favs are the single ladies.  At first it was just to document the newlywed life, but as I started reading and following others, I wanted my little blog to grow, so that is where it is at right now, budding stage!  Help a girl out.

Who inspires you most in your life?
My baby sister Hailey.  She was born really early-1 pound 3 ounces and was in the hospital for over a year straight.  She is so special.  She has gone through so much in her small life so far, more than I have in my 23 years.  She is happy and tender and such a blessing.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
My number one thing is I want to be close to my family.  I want my kids to be able to see their grandparents on a daily basis if they so desire.  BUT family aside, I love Seattle....although I have never been there...I just have a thing for Grey's Anatomy and ferries!

What is your favorite blog post you have written?
Oh Sheesh. Maybe this one about my severe TV addiction, it is pretty cray cray.  Or maybe all about my need for a happy ending? Or maybe on a more mushy note my husbands bday post last year where I tell you how smitten I am.

Celebrity Crush?
Stephan Salvatore, from TVD.  And I am so selfless/married that I don't even want him for myself, just for Elena, because as you know from above I NEED a happy ending, so get it together Vampire Diaries.  I also have it in for my two Canadian loves-Mr. Gosling and Mr. Bieber.

Favorite Store?
Oh my oh my how I love J. Crew, I wish I could dress from head to toe in the crew.  They are so expensive and I scour the store and site for sales though.

What cheers you up on a crappy day?
Easy. my bed. my husband. eating out. talking to my mom on the phone. bubble bath with Philosophy Bubble Bath. And retail therapy like Cher from Clueless.

Spring Must Have?
Nails, spring nail colors!  I love nail polish, as seen in this post, and this post.  So I am itching for it to be seasonally appropriate to bust out the pastels.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Wow this is a hard one. A mom of one. maybe two. on a ferrie?

Pet Peeve?
When people blow their nose and look at it.  And burping.

Something about me that might surprise people?
I cannot for the life of me NOT swallow my gum. almost immediately.  I put in my mouth and it tastes too good, so my mouth just swallows it.  I would go through a pack a hour. I hope the seven year myth is not true or I am in serious trouble.

See I told you I got to talk all about myself, now let's hear from you...

1. Blogging.Why?
2.If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
3.Chocolate or Vanilla? Think about it.
4. Your favorite movie genre?
5.What/Who inspires you?
6. The greatest lesson you have learned in the last year?
7.Gun to your head.Have you pick just one.favorite movie? Just one.
8. Where do you see yourself if five years?
9. Dream travel spot?
10. Random fact about yourself?
11. Favorite way to relax?

Ok you have been tagged:
