Earth Day

So despite what I have told past boyfriends for
the "outdoorsy factor" I kind of hate hiking. (gasp!? I know)
Since I am so afraid of heights, I never usually enjoy the view from the top,
I hate bugs, and since my extended family is so competitive,
I have a hard time keeping up and asking for breaks haha.

So yesterday was Earth Day, I felt like going on a run but actually not at all.
So after getting on Pinterest under the "Fitness" category
(This is how I get myself motivated, I go look at all those hard core ripped girls with sayings like "EXCUSES ARE USELESS" and "SWEAT IS FAT CRYING" until I feel so guilty I get up and do something..longest parentheses sentence ever)

ANYWAYS...I decided I was going to hike the "Y" instead of a run,
sounded easier than a run (ya right).
Ben was at work so I had nothing else to do
and the earth day part was a bonus!

So I hiked the "Y' by myself and for the first time I kind of got it, why people like hiking!
Mind you this is like a 30 minute hike,
let's not get ahead of ourselves,
I am most likley still not a fan of the 8 hour excursions
eating only trail mix and scaling cliffs kind of hiking.

My playlist was truly inspired, I put my ipod on "shuffle all' and it was pumping out my jams!
1st song-Never Say Never by the BIEBS
2nd-One Step at a Time-Jordin Sparks (lyrics were very literal to me)
3rd-Stronger by Brit Spears

See? And it only got better!
I didn't plan it but I went at the perfect time and the sun was setting
and Provo has never looked so good.
It's weird how a city can look beautiful but it did!

I am not one to "enjoy" nature like I should
but yesterday was a good one.
So Happy Earth Day people!

Gorgeous views! Every time I go hiking with my husband, I'm thinking, "This is just walking. Totally going to be easy". And I end up making your "Holy crap that was hard" face. But at least the view was sweet! Worth it, right?

Those fitness pins on Pinterest always make me feel motivated... But then sometimes instead of going running, I eat popcorn puffs on my couch while watching Grey's Anatomy. :)

"Mind you this is like a 30 minute hike, let's not get ahead of ourselves" HAHAHA, that would be me too. I could enjoy 30 minutes. But probably not a minute longer.

I just adore your blog! the way its laid out and your pictures very nice flow to it all! Now, as for the hiking the boyfriend wants me to go with him next month in NC and personally I think he is crazy if he thinks I will do it but I know if I do it, afterwards I will be proud of myself. we shall see...

I love your honesty. I have a love / hate relationship with hiking. I hate when it gets too hard and I get too sweaty, but love when I make it to the top. That's an amazing feeling.

New follower, btw!
